We are Ludo's, a fully independent bar and venue on an old converted double decker bus!
We serve quality drinks, including: locally sourced craft beer, proper real cider, natural wines imported from small producers, independent premium spirits and PACT single origin coffee as well as the usual soft drinks etc.
We host regular events, including: comedy nights, film screenings, live music, charity events, markets, supper clubs, our own pub quiz, private parties and more.
We have been open for just over two years now and it's time to push the business into the next phase. Therefore we are looking for a reliable and conscientious member of staff to supervise our bar and run it for one or two shifts a week. There may well be the option for more work as we get busier in the summer months but initially would suit someone just looking to pick up some extra work/shifts.
We are ideally looking for someone with 1-2 years experience of running pubs/bars. You must have solid experience, ie. cellar management (changing beer barrels etc), using a POS till system, key holder responsibility, cashing up etc and must be able to pour a good pint obviously!
As we are operating on a converted double decker bus, then there are some space limitations. One major factor is that the bus has unusually low ceilings, so unfortunately you must be no taller than approx 5'8" (sorry, just the way it is!).
We are looking for someone to become part of our very small team, so personality fit will be as important as experience and skills. You must be comfortable and confident working alone. We can offer part-time hours with shifts being a combination of evenings and weekends. This will be on a rota basis and shifts will be rota'd well in advance, so you are not working all weekend etc.
We pay well and offer a fun, relaxed and unique environment to work within. Oh, and you must be OK with dogs...as we have a big friendly one!
